Built specifically in recognition of its home port of Miami, the flagship Seaside Class vessel has an aft which strongly resembles an art deco hotel so common to South Beach. Featuring modern classics from MSC such as the MSC Yacht Club and, of course, a generous amount of Swarovski crystal staircases!
A few of our team here at Odyssean Travel sailed the inaugural sailing in 2017 and our Chief Fun Officer, Holly actually returned for a week on board in 2018. She recounts, highlights include dining and, of course, the itinerary, but that she was really impressed with the performance shows.

Dress code
MSC tries to manage a simple set of guidelines for their sailings, with casual dress being the bulk of your necessary packing. Expect 1-2 formal "Gala" nights, with 2 being more for week-long itineraries. You'll likely be most comfortable with some casual dress for the day, including flip-flops for the pool decks, but something closer to country club casual for evenings. Themed nights are frequent and fun! Floral patterns or various color-themed events occur on many sailings, such as a 70s music night or MSC's White Party. As with many modern cruise lines, expect to keep the swim wear out of the dining rooms and that you'll need footwear everywhere except the top deck.
Gratuities
The MSC Seaside features a per person daily rate of US$12.50 for passengers aged 12+ and US$6.25 for children 2-11. MSC does not charge a service fee for infants under the age of 2, just remember that age is measured from the date of disembarkation. Select itineraries such as MSC Grand Voyages or MSC World Cruises can carry a different rate applied in euros, €10 per person for guests 12 and up, €5 per person for children 2 and up. You should be able to settle or adjust your account up to the final night of your sailing.
