What information do you have regarding going on a cruise with a baby? I would love to go on the Christmas cruise to Hawaii but my baby will be very young. Does my baby have to be a certain age and what amenities do particular ships have to accommodate a family with a small baby?

Great! How about sleeping arrangements, are cots provided upon request or do I need to bring a pack and play?
There are a few cruise lines which cater to a mature clientele and which don't permit anyone under the age of 18, I'm going to skip those completely here (Viking Cruises, Virgin Voyages).
Most cruise lines will not accept any child under the age of 6 months - that's 6 whole calendar months before the day of embarkation and not that they will become 6 months at some point during the cruise.
For certain voyages or itineraries there can be further restrictions. Itineraries featuring 3 or more days at sea such as transatlantic or repositioning cruises, crossing of the Panama Canal, and even South American voyages may sometimes require a minimum age of 12 months.
Simple amenities such as high chairs or consideration for bringing formula on board isn't such an issue, although I'd highly recommend communicating any need in advance. Full on programs for child minding or even entertainment are a little different.
Once your baby has passed the 12 month mark the options really open up for shared nursery or group babysitting, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, maybe Disney Cruise Line might suit.
I've not been seeing many options for in-room babysitting these days.
