Destination 3 of 30 is Bath

I think one of the most overlooked aspects of summer in Bath or anywhere in the UK for that matter, is that the days are loooong.

Early July in Bath, the sun rises before 5AM and will stay with you until about 9:30PM!

That means amazing access to pub gardens! Because the city gets so many visitors there's also quite a good selection of restaurants - definitely need a reservation for anything after about 3PM.

Another top tip, don't stay in the city itself if you're staying longer than a day trip. All the music venues and bars which might be deemed noisy are required to move the noise below street level, into the cellar spaces of the historic buildings. This is fun.

But from about late April/early May through late July the seagulls make the most noise, nesting on rooftops which have supplanted their normal cliff-edge nesting. They're a noisy nuisance but they're also protected in England.
