I always know when I've had too much real fun in a destination, it's when I look back through my camera roll and see a whole lot of nothing.
When you visit a place and you're just having so much fun you don't really take a lot of pictures, well, it just means you've been so focused on the people and places that you've actually achieved something truly spectacular in this day & age: being present.
My first visit to the Keys was a trip down to Key West from Miami in August of 2016 during a business trip of all things, I've since lost track of the number of visits. I might risk rhyming out a Beach Boys tune if I tried haha.
Key West is truly a fun place, but maybe not the most laid back of the Keys for a retiring family trip. Definitely an amazing call to port, probably the perfect amount of time for a visit as you can't get in too much trouble during an afternoon strolling Duval Street's miles of bars.
Maybe snorkeling Key Largo with a sunset meal at Sundowners or a boating day out at Islamorada before, yes, another sunset at Lorelei's.
Maybe key lime pie from the Green Turtle Inn... or a local beer from the Islamorada Beer Company... or... I guess there's a food & drink theme here somewhere!
One of my favorite places in the world! Lots of amazing memories made there with family and friends.
