My own wedding day in St Lucia had a few showers during the morning of our ceremony.
Can you imagine waking up to something like this (below)?

Some cloud and grey might have seemed a little bit of a disaster if we weren't perhaps so happy to be celebrating that day.
It was also the first week of April and not inside the hurricane season. St Lucia tends to escape the worst of the weather anyway...
So, we just went on with our day.

How did we keep it so cool, like a pair of cucumbers???
Because we figured it would clear and the sun would burn off the worst of it.

We went to a late breakfast at the top side of the resort, enjoying the views over the sea and the clearing blue skies!

And it did dry out and clear off, we got the tiniest of sprinkles after the ceremony. Following the first dance in the garden and before we headed down to the water's edge for some photos. Just enough to bring us luck, I like to say!

While ultimately it was going to be a happy day for the two of us no matter what the weather would bring, we have the cloud and rain to thank for such a great backdrop for our photos.
