Also known as Atlantis Bahamas, the site itself represents the largest portion of Paradise Island and features a number of beaches, a golf course, a water park, and much, much more, all centered around the 154-acre ocean-themed "Aquaventure" park.
Popular among families, couples, and casino lovers, there are a variety of towers from which to choose when arranging your vacation at Paradise Island. Some points to consider may be the various restaurants and amenities, proximity to the beach, proximity to transport and access to Nassau, or how much walking you might like to do on your holiday. It's a big site!
Planning your trip
If you're planning to enjoy Atlantis as a day trip during your cruise to The Bahamas, consider securing your transportation in advance. It is not a comfortable walking distance from the cruise port.
There are no dining package options which include a lunch-hour meal. An excellent opportunity to plan your off-site dining and to try some local cuisine, or to arrange a day trip to explore other areas of the island.
When you should go
Busy year-round and in particular during the winter. The property sees more guests in the mid-December through March period or during school summer holidays. Expect a smaller bump to crowd levels around any sort of long weekend or event, the great proximity to Florida makes the resort attractive to weekend gamblers.
What else you might need
Day passes are available to enjoy some of the on site amenities and entertainment, but you'll have the most choice for activities if you're a guest of the Atlantis.
