Although listed as Honolulu, Aulani's 4-Star property is found a little further along the coast to the west of Oahu's capital, in the vicinity of Ko Olina. The property was opened in 2011 and features 351 rooms, 16 suites, and a generous helping of villas.
You don't have to be a huge Disney fan or even have children to enjoy the splendors of Aulani's luxurious spa resort and lush tropical setting, there is an adults-only pool bar and a great variety of on-site amenities to enhance your stay in Oahu. You might even feel as though you've got access to Honolulu's attractions and landmarks, but without the crowds. Of course, if you're a Disney fan you'll have even more to look forward to during your visit to Hawaii.
Planning your trip
Aulani's location outside of Honolulu does make it an attractive pre or post-cruise destination for those embarking a cruise from Hawaii. You won't likely have time to make the most of the on-site amenities during a single-day visit, however.
Anything Disney related would really enhance your stay, Aulani's team makes it really simple to arrange your character meets or to get a little more out of your stay with family friendly or themed activities to enjoy at the resort.
When you should go
Hawaii welcomes guests throughout the year, while the additional draw of a Disney attraction to Aulani means you may have to commit to your room choice a little earlier than at other resorts. Expect higher guest numbers during winter months and school holidays.

Hawaii is a popular destination throughout the year, plan your trip as far in advance as you are comfortable for the best selection of rooms at this property.
