A spa & resort on a desert island in the North Malé Atoll. In addition to the relaxation you'll find here, there are plenty of water sports to enjoy, including a PADI dive center and marine lab to help you engage the local wildlife between treatments. The resort proudly became plastic-free in 2018 and reports their own contributions to local environment and community support.
Banyan Tree is an all-villa resort, each with a private pool! A phenomenal spot for couples and families to hide away from it all in a beautiful, luxurious setting.
Planning your trip
Your own timetable for arrival and departure may be a little more flexible for this property as the use of a sea plane is not required.
Experienced and novice divers can take advantage of the on-site PADI center, certification courses are offered here.
When you should go
The busier months of the year stretch roughly December through March, but you could really plan a visit to suit your celebration throughout the year.
What else you might need
As mentioned above, Banyan Tree's location allows for arrival via speed boat, a journey time of about 25-30 minutes from the Velana International Airport (VIA).
