Kefalonia, sometimes spelled "Cephalonia", shines brightly among the other remarkable islands of the Ionian Sea. It is photogenic and renown for not only its natural beauty, but as the set for Hollywood film "Captain Corelli's Mandolin".
Many couples choose Kefalonia for their vacation as there are many activities and landmarks to explore, and the amazing seas surrounding the island are like none other. With such easy access to great sea conditions, water sports are also very popular.

Cruises visiting Kefalonia typically call to port in Argostoli, often as part of an Adriatic itinerary. Stick near the port for tavernas and restaurants or venture a little further to the beach for relaxing, blue waters lapping white sand.
