An exclusive luxury eco-lodge nestled on the high grounds of Santa Cruz, in the Galapagos. Pikaia is curiously named for an ancient creature linked to human evolution and which represents the significance of the Galapagos Islands as a haven for nature. The property is small and exclusive, with plenty of benefits for the guests alone.
It is a family friendly property, but with only 14 rooms and suites its small size makes it exceptionally exclusive for any couple, family, or group. You don't have to love eco-friendly concepts to make the most of your stay here, but you'll love the property and its setting even more if you do.
Planning your trip
The property's flagship tour options surround use of their yacht for day trips, the only such ship available to the public for day use on the entirety of the Galapagos Islands. Maximum capacity of 16 passengers, you may have to share with other Pikaia guests but many of the services are extended to the ship.
Rates for the property typically include access to a variety of local day tour options or packages inclusive of opportunities to view the unique landscapes and wildlife of the islands.
When you should go
The Pikaia Lodge is closed for annual maintenance for at least a couple weeks during late September to mid-October period, otherwise welcoming guests throughout the year.
What else you might need
It is an exceptionally small property, with only one of each upgraded suite variety available. You'll enjoy the best variety of suites if you arrange your stay as far in advance as possible.
