This might very well be the most accessible call to port you'll experience in your years of cruising. Although there are three main docks, you're likely to arrive into the two located almost directly on top of Mallory Square, pretty perfect for a sunset finish to your day!

If you're cruising the Caribbean you might not necessarily consider a call to Key West, but it's an accessible spot and very navigable for US & Canadian visitors.

Planning your trip

Key West features on a variety of cruise itineraries focused on the Western Caribbean or frequently those which feature calls to port elsewhere in Florida or in The Bahamas.

Stick it out on foot and check out sights such as Hemingway's House or jump on the Key West trolley. There are plenty of options to get out on the water. Also. If you haven't had a drink on Duval Street, have you even been to Key West?

When you should go

You'll be entertained throughout the year at this bustling call to port, but the most popular time to visit runs between mid-December and March each winter.

The busy period December through March coincides with what most people agree is the best weather!

What else you might need

As a US-based call to port, US passport holders shouldn't have any issues embarking or disembarking here. The embarkation process from many cruise sailings mean you won't likely need that passport in port, however.
