The southernmost point in the continental United States, the brightly colored anchor buoy is concreted in place and famously closer to Cuba than Miami.

The bright, colorful buoy is an easy to enjoy, must-see landmark in Key West. You'll have fun wandering the streets in search of the site or meeting other vacationers from all over the country while you're waiting your turn for a memorable photo.

When you should go

You'll likely have the best lighting for a photo during the morning hours, not to mention you'll be beating the crowds. An unfortunate casualty of the Instagram generation, you might have to line up for your turn to snap a selfie!
